Thu - Vietnam Case Study (Secondary)

This case study with accompanying activities for secondary students shares Thu's story.

Thu lives with his wife in Vietnam. When Thu was 12 years old, he lost his leg when he stepped on a land mine. With the support of Caritas Australia’s partner in Vietnam, Thu was able to open a barber shop to earn an income. The program also supports Thu and others living with a disability to come together to socialise, support and learn from each other.

Thu's story first featured in Project Compassion 2023.
