Caritas Australia is offering the community a new way to honour the legacy of their loved ones by donating to help the world’s most vulnerable people forge a path out of poverty.

As the Catholic Church's international aid and development agency, for 60 years, Caritas Australia has been working hand in hand with the most marginalised communities in Australia and overseas, to confront the challenges of poverty.

Asking for donations to Caritas Australia in lieu of flowers is a way to pay tribute to a loved one who was a supporter of Caritas Australia or was passionate about supporting those less fortunate.

Eva Jozsa Gifts in Wills Specialist at Caritas Australia said, “The In Memoriam tribute is a beautiful way to honour a loved one, by leaving a lasting legacy of compassion for the world’s most vulnerable”.

Those wanting to give in tribute to a loved one can:

  • Create an online Tribute Page to share with family and friends so they can donate in lieu of flowers.
  • Make a one-off donation in memory of a loved one by finding their tribute page via searching on our website, or via a link or QR code shared as part of a service.
  • Order Donation Envelopes free of charge that will be mailed out to your address. Donations can be sent in via the envelopes or made digitally by scanning the QR code on the envelope.

“We understand how challenging the time after a loss can be and are immensely grateful to anybody who considers while grieving, the positive impact their generosity could have” concluded Eva Jozsa.
