Safewill And Caritas Free Wills Week September 2024

Caritas Australia has partnered with SafeWill, one of Australia’s leading online Will-writing platforms to offer a period of free will writing to Australians looking to safeguard their life’s work and legacy.

Caritas Australia has secured an extra week in addition to ‘Free Wills Week’ for Australians using their unique URL. This gives you from September 2nd to 15th to make the most of writing a valid Will from the comfort of your own home, in just a few clicks.

Eva Jozsa, Gifts in Wills Specialist at Caritas Australia reflected on the importance of this step for people of all ages, saying: “It is a common misconception that Wills are only necessary for the wealthy. Wills are essential to safeguard the people you love and protect the things you care most about. They are to ensure you are leaving a lasting legacy.”

“After safeguarding your loved ones, please, consider leaving a gift to a cause you care about” Jozsa added. “Imagine a world where your compassion and generosity extend far beyond your lifetime. A world where your legacy lives on, impacting the lives of those in need for years to come. This is the remarkable power of a bequest.”

Leaving just 1% of your estate to Caritas Australia can make an incredible impact in the world and safeguard the future of so many generations. Through bequests, Caritas Australia offers hope to those displaced by conflict, natural disasters, or poverty. Your generosity can provide secure shelters, warm meals, and clothing to individuals who have lost everything. It can facilitate life-saving access to clean water or equip individuals with the skills to break the cycle of poverty.

Giuseppe Di Simone is a long-time supporter of Caritas Australia. He feels blessed to have been born in a peaceful and prosperous country. To pay this forward, he decided to leave a charitable gift in his Will. “A bequest to Caritas Australia is a small thing I can leave behind to give thanks to God for the many gifts I’ve received,” Giuseppe said.
