Caritas Australia’s Global Gifts represent a donation that makes a real and lasting difference to the lives of people experiencing the challenges of poverty.

The range has recently expanded to include tote bags, and to cover the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, and First Holy Communion, joining the existing selection of thank you, birthday, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter, and Christmas Global Gifts.

The life changing support represented by a Global Gift could be the gift of clean water to commemorate a baptism, seeds for a family in Zimbabwe as a symbol of growth for a First Holy Communion, a midwife kit in celebration of Mother’s Day, and much more.

The ‘We’ve Got it in the Bag’ Tote bag series features four different styles, symbolising the themes of change, compassion, courage and hope. Each includes a quote from a participant in a program supported by Caritas Australia, such as Rosalie from the Democratic Republic of Congo whose quote “There is more joy in sharing with others” appears on the We’ve Got Compassion in the Bag tote.

Thank You and Birthday cards also come in packs of 6 and 10, ensuring those with plenty of occasions to thank and celebrate loved ones can plan ahead.

“Whether you purchase your Global Gift for a family member, friend or colleague, each gift reflects real items and support that will help assist the world’s most vulnerable people in their fight against poverty and injustice. With a tote bag, loved ones can also wear this gift of compassion with pride, sharing our message of hope as they go about their days.”

“They are the perfect gift for someone who wants for nothing other than a better and more hopeful world for all,” said Michael McGirr Mission Director at Caritas Australia.
