Don’t wait for disaster to strike

Emergencies are increasing in number and severity, from natural disasters like storms and earthquakes, to conflicts like Ukraine and Gaza, and intractable problems like the food crisis across the Horn of Africa.

Something they all have in common is that they leave vulnerable communities in great need – and those needs often come down to simple things like water, food, bedding and essential items.

Donate now to ensure that when the next emergency happens, we can respond quickly with the essential items communities need to stay alive.

$100 can help bring water, sanitation and hygiene support to those in need.

Access to clean water can mean the difference between life and death, by keeping people healthy and preventing the spread of water-borne diseases.

When disasters and emergencies occur, infrastructure that delivers clean water can be destroyed or damaged, or previously clean water supplies can become contaminated.

Vulnerable communities need clean water, and they need it fast.

Emergency Food Assistance Food Insecure Families In Ethiopia

$200 can help combat food insecurity for vulnerable families.

When disaster or conflict occurs, it can disrupt normal supply lines, preventing enough food from reaching the affected population.

Ongoing issues like blockades and droughts can also drastically reduce the food supply, and dramatically increase the price of available food.

This can lead to food insecurity and in extreme cases, famine.

$500 can keep a family sheltered when they have lost their home.

Essential items can include bedding like sheets and mattresses, tents, hygiene and sanitation kits, direct financial support, medical and psychosocial support, clothes, and more.

People who have lost their homes and livelihoods need basic essentials in order to survive.
