Project Compassion is Caritas Australia’s annual Lenten fundraising appeal - one of the largest in the country. For over 60 years, it has brought together schools, parishes, communities and individuals to reflect, pray and take action, helping to create a more just world for all.
This Lent, you're invited to join thousands across the country as we stand together in hope and take action for a more just world.

14-year-old Patricia lives in a remote village on the island of Malaita in Solomon Islands. She once spent hours collecting water, making school difficult. With easier access to clean water, her life has improved, and she hopes to return to school and become a teacher.

Reaksmey, from Kampot, Cambodia, grew up deaf and isolated from society because of his hearing disability. Through Epic Arts, he learnt sign language for the first time, formed new friendships and now works at their café earning a steady income.

Yeshareg, a mother of two in south-western Ethiopia, struggled with hunger and poverty. Through Caritas Ethiopia's CLEAR project, she learned potato farming, joined a women's savings group and raised sheep, enabling her family to eat three meals a day.
